Diaconal Ministry Silent Retreat

A silent retreat is an opportunity to find a space for yourself where you can listen to your own heart. It is an opportunity to hear God speaking to you in silence.
Last week, the social workers of the ELCJHL schools gathered for a silent retreat to dive in to some deep reflective and spiritual work. This retreat was organized and facilitated by the Elcjhl Diaconal Ministry and FELM Center Jerusalem, who both greatly assisted in programming and planning for this retreat.
After the silent portion of the retreat, participants focused on skill-building, exchanging techniques, and discussing some of their reflections of the day.
This retreat was also held for the teachers of the Beit Ibrahim's "Abraham's Tent" , which is an after school program that provides students a place to come after school and receive help with their homework and studies.
Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
