World Day of Prayer--Palestine Committee Meetings
Over the last month, the World Day of Prayer - Palestine committee has been hard at work preparing for the World Day of Prayer. By chance, the country chosen years ahead of time for 2024 is Palestine, so on the World Day of Prayer this year, March 1st 2024, Christians around the world will pray for Palestine using liturgy, prayer, and music by Palestinian authors, clergy, and artists.
Due to the current harsh restriction of movement, it is impossible to gather Christians in Palestine together in one location. In light of this hardship, the Gender Justice Ministry of the ELCJHL supported the World Day of Prayer Palestine Committee in hosting three dialogue sessions for women in Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and Ramallah to empower women to be a part of this movement.
